The future and present of yacht clubs in Sochi

To date, yachtsmen arriving in Sochi have only three yacht marinas that can accommodate a fairly large vessel.

The development of domestic tourism is gaining more and more priority. So recently it became known about the emergence of a project from the Alliance Marine Development group of companies, which provides for the construction of an entire yacht club networks along the Azov-Black Sea coast. The authors of the project expect that this will significantly increase the tourist attractiveness of this region and give impetus to the development of coastal infrastructure and the emergence of new tourist offers.

If the toga project is implemented (unfortunately, the projects put forward earlier have not received funding), then 36 new marinas will immediately appear on the Russian Black Sea coast, with a total capacity of 15,000 berths. Existing facilities will also be restored and reconstructed.

As for Sochi, the named project involves the construction of eight parking lots for yachts, the capacity of which will range from 500 to 800 vessels. And if this is eventually implemented, the city will become much more attractive for owners of various small boats.

Today in Sochi there are only three yacht marinas, which we will talk about in this material.

Grand Marina

Address: Russia, Krasnodar Territory, Sochi, Tsentralny microdistrict, Voykova street, 1.

Sochi Grand Marina is located in the Central Seaport of Sochi. Its history goes back to the beginning of the 20th century, when the city was just beginning to gain popularity as a resort. The decision to create the Seaport was made personally by Stalin, and the construction of the central classical station in the Empire style was already completed by Khrushchev, in 1955. The Sochi Marine Station was created by the outstanding architects of his time K.S. Alabyan in collaboration with L.B. Karlik and became one of the main symbols of the city.

Today, this marina is deservedly considered one of the safest on the Black Sea and, as a result, is very popular. The water area of the seaport was expanded before the 2014 Olympic Games: a new mall was built, which significantly increased the port's capacity to receive large cruise ships.

Security is provided by a number of factors. So, the port water area is closed, which allows not to be afraid of storms. Berths are equipped with video surveillance systems, fire alarms, access to them is provided by personal cards. Beginners can use the services of a pilot and a mooring boat. If you wish, you can also rent a ship here, make a purchase of a boat or yacht, and issue various ship documents. Winter parking services are provided.

At the moment, there is enough space for 300 vessels in the parking lot, and there is even space for superyachts, the length of which does not exceed 140 meters. Owners can expect to receive a wide range of various services - from refueling to full-fledged after-sales service (there is a ship lifting up to 40 tons). The convenient location of Sochi Grand Marina means you can quickly get to a variety of tourist sites, resorts and local attractions. A well-developed infrastructure means the opportunity to have a good time.

Sailing center "South Sport"

Address: Russia, Krasnodar Territory, Sochi, Tsentralny microdistrict, Bzugu street, 6.

This yacht parking is noticeably smaller than the one described above. Nevertheless, there is enough space to accommodate 60 ships, which can stand for both short-term and long-term parking. The width of the entrance channel is 30 meters, with a depth in the harbor of up to 2.8 meters, which allows you to receive fairly large yachts.

At the service of yachtsmen - everything necessary to ensure a comfortable and safe parking. Special hydraulic structures protect the water area from bad weather, the presence of repair shops equipped with everything necessary (there is a ship lifting up to 8 tons) will allow for the required maintenance. Also, everyone can rent a boat for a long or short period of time - make a trip along the Black Sea coast to Turkey or Greece, or spend a romantic evening, or maybe a friendly party on board the yacht.

The history of the sailing center "South Sport" began in 1980, it was put into operation by the beginning of the 1980 Olympics in Moscow. Initially, it was the base on which the USSR national team trained. To this day, various regattas are regularly held here, both among juniors and among professionals. This alone attracts the attention of fans of yachting to the center.

Imereti port

Address: Russia, Krasnodar region, Adler, bul. Marine, 1.

"Imeretinsky" is today the only resort on the Russian Black Sea coast, which has its own yacht parking. The local marina is already interesting for its location, which allows you to quickly get to both local attractions and the airport. This is a great place for any yachtsman who wants to have a good time.

The history of the Imereti port began in 2012, it was built to support the construction of the Olympic Village for the Olympic Games in Sochi in 2014. Subsequently, after the end of the Olympics, it was decided to convert the port into a yacht marina, the first stage of which was opened for 40 places in the same year. Today it is already a spacious berth, capable of receiving both small vessels up to 10 meters and superyachts, the length of which reaches 140 meters. Here it should be noted the great depth of the port water area - from 9.5 to 12 meters.

Not only parking services are provided, but also rental, short-term and long-term. regattas are held right there, you can get training in sailing skills, there is a diving school. For excursions around the area, there is a private water park. Naturally, a lot of attention was paid to security issues, both protective structures and video surveillance systems with security.
