The Austrian shipbuilder Schoechl has unveiled a new yacht Sunbeam 28.1, designed for a sea weekend, which is distinguished by its sporty design and excellent technical characteristics.
The novelty stands out against the background of other models of yacht transport and in fact is a representative of a new generation of boats of the “weekend tour”.
The developers of the yacht note that their main task was to create an original boat for a sea weekend with sporty design elements. The width of the sailboat is 2.49 m for ease of mooring, transportation and storage.
In addition, the yacht received several cozy sleeping quarters, a small galley, and an isolated latrine for women. The key task for the designers was the maximum simplicity and practicality of the interior. The salon, which leads to only two steps, opens into the bow. The forepeak is separated by a double bed and a frame bulkhead. In the galley there is a small locker, a work table and a sink. The functionality of the space can be supplemented with a refrigerator and a two-burner electric stove, which are easily mounted due to the presence of skids.
The design of the sailboat was developed in cooperation with the Slovenian company Jakopin&Jakopin, which has been a partner of the shipyard for many years. In the basic configuration, the Sunbeam 28.1 yacht will cost potential buyers 77.3 thousand euros.
