The SP110 design converges the fundamental principles of stability, comfort and exclusivity.
Italian shipyard Sanlorenzo presented its new 33-meter yacht at the Cannes Yachting Festival. The SP110 is a hydrojet-powered sports boat, which is the first in the Smart Performance series. With the creation of the first yacht in the line, the shipyard enters a new market for itself in sports boats.
The SP110 concept is based on a highly efficient and livable yacht with a sporty design. The exterior of the boat was designed by Bernardo Zuccon, while the interiors were created by the famous architect and furniture designer Piero Lissoni.
The yacht is capable of running on one, two or three engines, depending on the owner’s choice, giving the opportunity to choose between performance and economy. The ship’s wheelhouse is equipped with monocrystalline solar panels with a capacity of 6 kW – using solar energy, the yacht can be powered for several hours. The maximum speed of the yacht is declared at 40 knots, and the cruising speed is 33 knots, while in economy mode the yacht moves at a speed of 30 knots.
The SP110 features a double-deck layout with an eight-metre beam and impressive interior spaces. The split deck, according to the designers, creates a feeling of “lightness” and “space”. The yacht has a lounge on the aft deck of about 50 square metres, which connects to the main interior spaces through a sliding window. The dining area and sun lounge are located in the bow of the boat.
“The design of the SP110 embodies Sanlorenzo’s vision, which combines the fundamental principles of sustainability, comfort and exclusivity, projecting the shipyard into the future with a yacht that completely departs from the usual models in the same market segment and at the same time sets a new standard for the models that follow,” commented Sanlorenzo.
