The stunningly designed sloop Morgana has already made its maiden voyage of 7,000 nautical miles.
Morgana's exterior profile is distinguished by the laconic style that Nauta Design is famous for - as the company's representatives say, they put "elegance and balance" at the heart of everything. According to Mario Pedola, president of Nauta Design, this time the customer was his close friend, a man with a very finely developed aesthetic sense, who wanted a fast and beautiful ocean cruiser capable of participating in superyacht regattas.
It took some time to complete the interior concept. Designers have repeatedly met with the customer to discuss all the details and visited his home to better understand his tastes. As a result, a cozy atmosphere was created, which includes elements of modern design. Inside there was enough space for 3 cabins, including the owner's cabin in the bow, two cabins for the crew aft and a fairly spacious saloon. The customer is said to be satisfied.
According to Reichel/Pugh's Jim Pugh, the client, an experienced and passionate yachtsman, wanted maximum comfort and speed. And in the company, whose creations have repeatedly won the St Barths Bucket regatta, they did everything to make Morgana impress others not only with its appearance, but also with its capabilities.
The vessel has sloop rigging, a lifting keel (draft varies from 4 to 6.1 m) and a removable racing bowsprit. The length of Morgana is 30.5 m, with a maximum beam of 7.46 m. The mast carries sails with a maximum area of 638 sq.m. A Cummins Qsb6.7 diesel engine with a power of 301 hp is also provided.
The dream yacht has already completed its 7,000 nautical mile maiden voyage from the Southern Wind shipyard in South Africa, where it was built, to La Spezia, Italy. It is noted that she showed herself to be a magnificent creation.
