90m superyacht Norn set sail on her maiden voyage

The Norn's design is distinguished by its reverse bow, narrow rectangular windows, and greenhouse-style glazing.

The new 90-meter superyacht Lürssen Project 1601, named Norn, has started her maiden voyage. The vessel was spotted in Norway after being officially launched at the end of April.

The client of the new superyacht is the couple who previously owned the 70-meter Lürssen. Espen Eino, who once designed the 70.7-meter Skat for Lürssen, worked on the design.

Norn's distinctive design is characterized by the reverse bow, narrow rectangular windows, and orangery-style glazing on the upper deck. Dölker + Voges designed the interiors.

The yacht is equipped with zero-speed stabilizers and a dynamic positioning system, allowing to reduce damage to the environment. Aboard the yacht is a swimming pool with emotional depth, a dance floor and an outdoor movie theater.

Cornelsen & Partner acted as project manager throughout the construction. The yacht was first unveiled in spring 2020, when Lürssen described it as a vessel with a “striking design and unusual characteristics” with a predominance of “flat surfaces, straight lines and angles.”

Earlier in the year the yard launched the 145-meter superyacht Project Luminance. The 122-meter Project Jag and the 142-meter Project Alibaba are also being prepared for delivery.
