Messe Düsseldorf announces format for BOOT 2021

The Messe Düsseldorf company, which specializes in organizing various exhibitions, together with leading yachting organizations, discussed the issue of how to hold one of the largest European boat shows - BOOT DÜSSELDORF.

As a result of the meeting, the participants agreed that a decision would be made before the end of the first week of next month.

It is noted that the leaders of Azimut (Benetti), Bavaria, Beneteau, Ferretti Group, Sanlorenzo and Sunseeker took part in the discussion. All of them opposed the idea of holding the event online. If it is possible to organize a conference or forum in this format, then the potential owner of the yacht should see it with his own eyes, and not from the monitor screen. A virtual tour allows you to visually evaluate the exterior and interior layout of the court, but is not able to replace personal viewing.

According to the schedule, the boat show should take place between January 23 and 31 next year. However, there is a big risk that the active spread of coronavirus infection, restrictive quarantine measures in Germany and restrictions on entry / exit in different states will make its organization impossible or unprofitable. Also, the authorities of the country can simply ban the show.

Let us recall that the BOOT DÜSSELDORF exhibition, which was held at the beginning of 2020, set a record for the number of visitors. The show was visited by 250 people from different parts of the world, a year earlier the exhibition was visited by 3,000 fewer - 247 thousand people. More than a quarter of the exhibition guests were foreigners, and among them a significant number of Russians.
