The 75-meter flagship of the Italian Sea Group has won the World Superyacht Awards.
The 75m superyacht Admiral Kenshō, flagship of the Italian Sea Group, has been named Motor Yacht of the Year at the World Superyacht Awards. The vessel was chosen from eight individual winners in the semi-displacement and displacement motor yacht classes.
Kenshō (Japanese for “seeing your true nature”) was developed from 2016 to 2022 and was unveiled at the Monaco Yacht Show. The yacht features sleek lines and a metallic green-blue paintwork inspired by the 1960s Ford Mustang, as well as a no-main saloon, high decks, and efficient communication between crew and guests.
It is reported that the owner chose the layout based on the evaluation of more than one hundred iconic yachts from all over the world. The Netherlands-based studio Azure Yacht Design and Naval Architecture and the German firm archineers.berlin worked on the naval architecture of the yacht.
The interiors were designed by Parisian studio Jouin Manku, who created a palette of soft natural tones in leather, teak, metal and glass. The yacht was previously recognised for its interior design in the 500GT and above category at the 2023 BOAT International Design & Innovation Awards.
