International satellite communications company Inmarsat has completed installation of its unique Fleet Xpress system on its 10,000th boat.

The head of Inmarsat, Ronald Spithout, noted that now 10,000 boats around the world are successfully using the Fleet Xpress system. Therefore, the time has come to express great gratitude to the company's customers, end users and partners who actively participated in the development of technologies, their installation, production and marketing.

According to Spithout, 2020 has been a watershed year for the maritime industry. This enabled the company to launch a new Fleet Data Academy program to work with partners and end users to realize the full benefits of digitalization.

Note that the list of Inmarsat clients that use Fleet Xpress technology includes the world's largest tanker owners, in particular K-Line and Hapag-Lloyd, offshore fleet corporations - Bourbon, Tidewater, as well as an increasing number of yachts, passenger boats and fishing boats. .

Spithout added that today, seamless and efficient communications powered by Fleet Xpress technology are critical and will play a key role in accelerating digital innovation as countries emerge from the coronavirus pandemic. Therefore, partners and customers of the company can confidently invest in the long-term process of global digitalization.
