Exclusive 142m superyacht Lurssen NORD delivered to owner

The 142m motor yacht Lurssen NORD, formerly known as Project Opus, has been successfully delivered to her owner.

On Friday morning the boat left the German shipyard for its maiden voyage to Gibraltar. Originally known as Project Redwood and then Project Opus, the NORD megayacht was built at the Lurssen shipyard in Bremen and boasts no less than 20 cabins accommodating up to 36 guests.

Officially launched in July 2020, NORD has over six decks and is one of the largest motor yachts in the world.

One of the key components of the boat's exterior is a subtle nod to the automotive industry. NORD is the first yacht to feature a nameplate on the bow, much like a car grill.

NORD was built in accordance with the rules of the Lloyds Register PYC classification society. She received a steel hull and an aluminum superstructure with teak decks. Unique features aboard Lurssen's latest megayacht include dual helipads, on-deck pools, Jacuzzi, spacious sports center, diving center, tender storage up to 15m.

It is currently unknown if NORD will be available for rent.
