Built from steel and aluminium, the yacht has a classic profile and the soul of an explorer vessel.
Italian shipyard Cantiere delle Marche has launched its first CdM RJ115 Stellamar explorer. The vessel is the first in a new line of research yachts developed and built at the shipyard.
The naval architecture was designed by Hydro Tec and the exterior and interiors were created by Cantiere delle Marche and designer Francesco Paszkowski.
Built in steel and aluminum, the yacht has the classic profile and soul of an Explorer and her aesthetic references voyages on the Mediterranean. Stellamar has a cruising range of 5,500 nautical miles, allowing her to go on long-range cruises.
The external connection to the sea is emphasized by the glass bulwarks, enlarged side aisles and open stern. The yacht is filled with natural light through the use of panoramic windows in the main and upper saloons.
The new Explorer can accommodate up to ten guests on board. The owner's stateroom with sauna and hammam is on the main deck forward, while four more double staterooms are on the lower deck. The interior of the yacht uses natural oak and neutral colors inspired by nature. The furniture is represented by Arpege Meridienne by Christian Liaigre, Poliform Saint Germain, Archibald by Poltrona Frau and Cassina Hola.
"For many years, we have shown the market that we are capable of building real explorers with the elegance and style of a luxury yacht. The solutions we have proposed to make the RJ line meet all these requirements once again push CdM explorers forward," commented Vasco Buonpensiere, CEO of CdM.
The yacht is powered by a pair of Caterpillar C18 engines that provide a cruising speed of 12 knots. To date, Cantiere delle Marche is building twelve yachts, including the flagship RJ155 and three Flexplorer 146 models, the first of which will be delivered before the end of 2023.
