The shipyard, celebrating its 160th anniversary, has announced the construction of a 54.9-meter vessel.
Wisconsin-based shipyard Burger is starting construction on the Burger 180, which is set to be the largest yacht in its fleet. The launch of the 54.9-meter vessel is scheduled for 2026. Currently, the 46.8-meter Ingot is considered the flagship of Burger.
The Burger 180 is a partnership with Gregory C. Marshall Naval Architects, which previously worked on the Burger 122 yacht concept. Designed "with entertainment, technology, reliability and cruising around the world with family and friends in mind," the new flagship will have extensive internal and external spaces.
Made of aluminum, the yacht will consist of four decks with an elevator. The sun deck will be 12 meters long and include a bar and a large swimming pool. The main saloon, framed by full-height windows, will be filled with natural light. The entertainment and dining area will be designed for 12 guests. The owner's cabin of the Burger 180 is located on the main deck in the yacht's full beam. Four suites will be found on the lower deck, with the possibility of converting them into two family rooms.
A special garage will house an 11-meter tender, and on the foredeck there will be a helipad for delivering guests. The Burger 180 will be powered by a pair of Caterpillar 3512C IMO Tier II engines providing a range of 4,000 nautical miles and a speed of 11 knots.
