The new yacht in the yard's portfolio is the sixth largest in its history.
Italian shipyard Benetti has officially unveiled the concept 85-meter megayacht Project Oro at the Monaco Yacht Show. The vessel received a fully custom studio design by Giorgio M Cassetta.
“During the development of Project Oro, we wanted to take the opportunity to express numerous innovative concepts, aiming to combine them into a unique yacht,” commented Giorgio M Cassetta.
The yacht features a steep bow and arched lines that flow seamlessly into the curved aft decks. Project Oro has a spacious beach club with retractable sea decks on either side, closely linking the club to the main deck.
The sun deck covers approximately 400 sq. meters and houses numerous lounge areas as well as dining spaces. The yacht is equipped with two elevators, which provides increased accessibility to various areas and spaces. On the bow deck of the yacht there is a private relaxation area, and above the beach club there is a swimming pool. Like many other Benetti yachts, Project Oro will be powered by a hybrid propulsion system.
“By developing a style language characterized by great visual purity and a strong characterization of the underlying masses, and abandoning the criteria of civil architecture in favor of a freer and more fluid approach, we attempted to move the project into an achievable future,” Cassetta added.
