The young company Antonini Navi, specializing in the construction of ships, has announced a concept version of a new superyacht, 40 m long with a modular design.
The concept was presented under the name UP40 - Utility Platform 40, which is a reflection of the length of the vessel and its design. The company's management notes that the offshore facility will be built on a steel base and will be available for potential buyers in three modifications. According to Antonini Navi experts, the use of a modular platform will significantly reduce the delivery time of the yacht to the customer: the waiting period for the court will be no more than 12 months from the date of signing the contract between the parties.
The use of a modular hull also means that the yacht can be customized according to the client's wishes, even after the start of its production. And this applies not only to interior features, but also to functions.
Representatives of Antonini Navi report that the design of the vessel was developed by Fulvio de Simoni, paired with experts from the shipbuilding company. The cruising range of the offshore facility is expected to be 5,000 nautical miles at a speed of 10 knots. The maximum speed will reach 14 knots, cruising - 12 knots.
The internal layout of the vessel opens up for customers many options for a unique transformation, ranging from the number and area of cabins, ending with the smallest decor elements. The construction of the first modular yacht Utility Platform 40 will begin this month.
