The boat develops a cruising speed of 55 knots and a maximum of 73 knots.
The high-speed 25-meter Bolide 80 yacht has begun sea trials after her launch in Pisa. During the tests, the new Bolide Yachts yacht achieves a cruising speed of 55 knots and a maximum speed of 73.
“The boat exceeded all design parameters for maximum cruising speed and intermediate tacks,” commented Fabiana Porciello of Victory Yacht Design & Technology. “Evolutionary tests confirmed the boat’s maneuverability and controllability at all speeds, thanks to the innovative dihedral rudder system and active steering system.”
Bolide Yachts is collaborating with Victory Design & Technology and Ranieri & Tonissi on the project to create a super-fast boat. The designers call the Bolide 80 a “hyper-muscular yacht.” The boat was built from carbon composite material at Seven Stars in Pisa.
Bolide 80 is powered by three MAN 12 V 2000 engines with a capacity of 2 thousand horsepower each. The yacht has a cruising range of 200 nautical miles at maximum speed and 345 miles at cruising speed.
The yacht will come with two or three cabins and a choice of hull colors. A total of nine models ranging in length from 18 to 50 meters will be produced under the Bolide project.
