The boat develops a cruising speed of 55 knots and a maximum of 73 knots.
The high-speed 25-meter Bolide 80 yacht has begun sea trials after her launch in Pisa. During the tests, the new Bolide Yachts yacht achieves a cruising speed of 55 knots and a maximum speed of 73.
“The boat exceeded all design parameters in terms of maximum cruising speed and intermediate tacks,” commented Fabiana Porciello of Victory Yacht Design & Technology. “Evolution tests have confirmed the boat's maneuverability and controllability at all speeds, thanks to the innovative dihedral rudder system and active steering system.”
As part of the project to create an ultra-fast boat, Bolide Yachts is collaborating with Victory Design & Technology and Ranieri & Tonissi. Designers call the Bolide 80 a “hyper-muscular yacht.” The boat was built from carbon composite material at Seven Stars in Pisa.
The Bolide 80 is powered by three MAN 12 V 2000 engines with 2 thousand horsepower each. The yacht has a cruising range of 200 nautical miles at maximum speed and 345 miles at cruising speed.
The yacht will come with two or three cabins and a choice of hull colors. A total of nine models ranging in length from 18 to 50 meters will be produced under the Bolide project.
