127m Oceanco Koru spotted in Mallorca

The giant vessel has arrived in Palma.

The new superyacht Oceanco Koru has been spotted on the island of Mallorca in the Mediterranean for the first time since leaving the shipyard at the beginning of April. The 127-meter vessel has arrived at Palma Bay in the largest Balearic Islands. A support vessel is due to join her shortly.

On April 6, Koru set sail on her maiden voyage from the Netherlands to Gibraltar. The superyacht was announced to be the largest ever built in the Netherlands. The launch of the giant sailing vessel took place in August 2022 at the Oceanco shipyard in Alblasserdam. After that, the superyacht was delivered to Rotterdam for the installation of the mast, which became the tallest in the world. The yacht was named "Koru", which means "new beginning" in Maori.

According to unofficial sources, the owner of Koru is Amazon's main shareholder Jeff Bezos. The yacht has a black hull and a white superstructure featuring classic exterior lines. Koru features a spacious swimming pool and plenty of outdoor decks seating areas

Oceanco does not confirm that the yacht belongs to the billionaire, noting that the company “values the privacy and confidentiality of all our clients and potential clients and therefore does not comment on participation or non-participation in specific projects.”
