127m sailing yacht Oceanco Y721 named Koru

Oceanco Y721 spotted in the port of Rotterdam.

The 127-metre Oceanco Y721 awaits sea trials in the port of Rotterdam. The vessel signals via the automatic identification system on Vesselfinder as Koru. Her name means "new beginning" in Maori.

Amazon founder and principal owner Jeff Bezos is considered the customer and owner of the yacht. Oceanco Y721 was first launched in August 2022 at the shipyard in Alblasserdam and then delivered to Rotterdam to install the triple mast.

It is currently the longest sailing yacht in the world and also the largest in Oceanco's portfolio. Upon delivery she will officially break the record held by the sailing yacht Sea Cloud.

Koru has a black hull and white superstructure and is characterized by classic hull lines. Experts have noted her resemblance to Lürssen's Eos superyacht. The yacht will have plenty of areas for relaxation on the outside decks as well as a spacious swimming pool on the aft deck.
